In-class Demos
Due in class each Thursday
Overview
Each team will present the latest update of their project in a brief weekly demo.
Purpose
Weekly in-class demos allow your team to show off its latest developments and to continually gather feedback. These demos will also keep your team continually engaged in your project. This can help you to quickly identify design challenges and problems while they are still correctable, and will help you to remain in sync with your potential user group.
Format
Each team will be given 10 minutes to show off their latest prototype and to answer questions related to its development. Teams should address the overall changes made, the biggest challenges faced, and what they will be seeking to finish in the coming week. Because demos are done in weekly installments, we do not expect drastic changes each week. Focus on getting a few pieces of feedback or features implemented each week, and then explain your choices.
Grading Rubric
Teams that have shown evident progress will receive strong grades. If the majority of your team's recent work is non-visual then make sure to point out what changes or improvements have been made. Not everything you do will revolve around the interface, so carry out your demos to reflect this.
